The last time I tried to cancel, they told me they'd give me a free month (for the month of August), and I could decide then if I wanted to terminate it or not.
Okay fine, I was tired with dealing with the jerk on the phone.
They *billed* me for August. Now I'm on the phone with a different guy (who was actually really nice), who took that charge away, cancelled my account altogether and gave me the number to get rid of my virus scan through them too.
Now I get to call the bank, since that charge overdrew my checking account. Yay me.
[ETA: All taken care of, I just have to deposit $10 into my account tonight when I get off work, since the AOL credit won't go through for a few days, and I'm all set!]
