dreamtrance tell her story first because she had a hell of a lot more drama than me. lol
Learned a valuable lesson yesterday. What's the side of the stage when you get there can quickly become the middle once the band starts. (yes, I'm sure you're all going 'duh!' even as I type this *g*) Only the people like 35 feet away from the stages on the sides are safe from the pushing and shoving, and then (at least in the case of Good Charlotte) you cannot hear them sing at all. The only way I knew what song they were singing is because I know the instrumental.
That being said, I think Kel scared 10 years off my life last night. During GC's second song, they literally stopped the show during the first chorus for a good 3-5 minutes, because people were down and they wanted everyone to back off to get them up. I just happened to pull my cell phone out of my bag right after that (call it a hunch) and there was a text from Kel saying she needed me. I don't think I've ever moved that fast around a crowd in my life, and it's very possible that I wasn't polite to anyone in my path. I got to her and she was just shaking, so I figured she ended up pushed into the middle like I had earlier. Then she told me what had happened and I was like holy shit.
So, yeah. I'm gonna convince Kel to see them on tour if they hit our area, and I'm sure by then she'll definitely want to anyway. And she's okay and I'm okay and we're heading back to NY shortly. Where I'm gonna try to find pictures from yesterday, because I can. :)
