newdaydawning79Merry Christmas to those who celebrate!! :D My day was fantastic, filled with laughs, great friends and great food. Can't ask for anything more!
This year-end has been an absolutely great one. On December 1 I finally replaced my old car with a used 2007 Chevy Malibu. I absolutely love it, more than I can say. It makes me wonder how I ever possibly lived with the Daewoo for as long as I did! Now I just have to make sure I can juggle the payments AND the higher insurance and get this thing paid off early!
And in job news, I FINALLY got new one! All of the months of misery are finally going to be over in 3 more work days. I start my new job on the 30th as they needed someone to start before year-end. I'm staying in the financial industry, but I'll be working for an agent instead of a provider, so I'll get to learn more about different kinds of retirement solutions. Which is great since I want to do something with my 401K now that I won't be at the company anymore! :D I absolutely love the people I'll be working with - I went in for 3 interviews and spent a lot of time talking to the people in the office. Talked to one of them Thursday too just to confirm they received a fax I sent and ended up on the phone for 5 minutes just talking about how much fun we're going to have. :)
The ONLY downside to this is I need a few more nice work shirts. At my current company we can wear polos if we want, but that won't be proper here. I'm actually looking forward to dressing up! Which means I must REALLY like this job. haha
