I'm in the mood to write.

You knew this day had to come, although trying to tell yourself that didn't make things any easier. Covered in just a sheet, you watched him gather his clothes, putting everything neatly into his suitcase.

"I..." you start, and then abruptly stop. The words were on the tip of your tongue, but saying them would only make things worse.

He looked at you, his green eyes letting you know that he felt the same way as you, and you had to swallow hard to keep the lump in your throat.

Lance leans over, kissing you gently, tenderly. "I know baby. I'll miss you too." The suitcase is closed, a small silver lock dangling from the top.

"I'll call," he said.

And then he was gone.
