I'm in the mood to write.

The dance floor was crowded, but not overly so. You sipped your drink, looking at the couples as they swayed together, trying to keep the feelings of loneliness from creeping into your consciousness.

"Is this seat taken?"

You looked up and your mouth went dry. Unable to find your voice, you just shook you head and watched as Lance slid into the chair next to you.

"I'm Lance," he said, holding out his hand.

"Angel," you replied, taking it. He smiled, bringing it to his lips and you just prayed you didn't gasp aloud.

"So, Angel," he repeated, your hand still in his. "Do you dance?"

You smiled, nodding, and Lance stood, helping you up as well. You walked out onto the dance floor together, and you weren't sure if your feet ever hit the ground.

Lance put his hands on your waist, holding you close. "So...do you come here often?"

You both laughed at his statement, yours fading off into a gentle smile. "If you do too...I just might start."
