concert babble...

How soon can I go again?!?!
We actually happened to luck out, there was no angst about the crowd since they had bleachers open (probably mainly for the parents and the little LITTLE kids - and seriously, 7-12 year olds? I worried for the safety of the ones that were on the floor), and had an absolutely perfect view of the stage. No worries about not being able to see, or only seeing a portion of the stage, nothing. I was in heaven.
Met Lola Ray after their set, got their autographs and just said hi. Missed a good portion of Hazen Street to do that, but what I heard, I really liked. Debated on going out to meet them too but being a lazy bum won out.
Sum 41....eh. Didn't really care for them too much, but I can see why they have a lot of fans. :) Just wasn't really my style, although I did like one slower song they did and Deryk coming all the way out to the sound boards to do it. No one even really knew he got out there, it was a pretty good little diversion/trick.
And here's where I ramble, and take a moment to apologize to everyone I was FREAKING OUT TO over the whole GA/crowd phobia deal. You guys were right, I was fine and I had the TIME OF MY LIFE!

It was SO good. Like, a million times better than my little mind ever expected. I was SO totally bummed because everyone I knew who'd been to a show said they didn't do "I Just Wanna Live", which I REALLY wanted to see live. Come to find out, they do now!! I guess the Chicago crowd was told their show was the first time they added it...lucky me for being after them! :) The whole show was great...SO much energy. I was being a total spaz, Kelly was laughing at me...a lot. And Paul spun!! YAY! I was trying to look at everyone, all the time, but I kinda ignored Joel a bit for everyone else. But I'm positive other people (not naming names) made up for it so it's all good. I sang and danced and clapped and threw my hands up and...yes. It was a great time. Was pretty proud that I sang every word of every song at the top of my lungs. *nods* Oh! Benji announced that in his mind, he was having sex with every member of the audience...I hope it was good for him because damn, I was rockin'. *snorts* They put on an amazing show, and I'd go again (and probably even battle the back of the crowd) in a heartbeat.
I'll probably write more later, maybe a set list kinda thing (not in ANY order I'm sure) or something. Right now, I want Kel to get hungry so we can get food. LOL
Thank you to

Date: 2004-11-14 09:23 am (UTC)Dude! I'm so glad you guys had a kick ASS time!!!!
I'm so excited about seeing Benj and Joel in December, when they come to KC to do their little acoustic set. One of the girls I met at the Denver show has already committed to making the trip out here to go with me. We're totally going to be idiots and get there at ass-o'clock in the morning. But...yay!
You got to see Paul twirl! Lol. I saw him do that in Denver and I started cracking up. He's so cute.
