Okay...this is NOT a good thing.

One of my coworkers quit today. No notice, no anything...just sent off an email to our regional manager and handed me her key. Not to mention she had to take something to the post office for the store and had to take cash out of the drawer to do it (which is normal)...and forgot to put the receipt and the change BACK in the drawer when she came back, which left the register short for the evening. Lovely...

All I know is, I'm not working Saturday, and I'm only going to put in more time this next Friday if I have to. The 23rd and 24th are mine. Because, Kenny!! :)

*mwahs* to dreamtrance for taking my freaking out phone call a few minutes ago when all this took place. *g* I didn't know who else to call.

There'd be some serious hell to pay if an employee or co-worker quit without notice. Serious. Hell.

If I had the clout or ability to have said something, I would have.

I normally keep my mouth shut but...I've worked 10 days straight now, will be 12 before I get a break, and I'm taking that one day that I get. I don't think I'll last 18 straight, which is what it'd be if I covered Saturday.

I have a whole drawer of the refrigerator filled with Bacardi Silver, Smirnoff Ice and Smirnoff Triple Black...and vodka in the cabinet.

I think I'm set. Too bad you don't live near here, I'd say come over and we could toast crappy coworkers together. :)
