MY EARS ARE BLEEDING

....That is all.

I could seriously do without this snow and ice. It took me an hour to get home and I nearly got into no less than 3 accidents. I had to change my route all over the place to finally get to the house. It was...probably the worst driving weather so far this entire winter.

The good news is, I'm home safe and sound. Kel didn't have any problems getting her so she's home safe too. I had her on the phone most of the way because after the first couple of close calls, I started to lose it a bit. I don't deal well when I feel trapped and that's how I felt in the traffic today. It was just...very scary.

But it's Tuesday and that means there's only three days til Simple Plan in Detroit and I seriously cannot wait. Blue Man Group was awesome but this is going to be 10 times better. Tiny venue, and it's been *ages* since I've seen SP live. So, yes. This week is definitely going to start looking up soon!!!

It's been a very, very long day and I'm frustrated and tired. It's coming across in my musings and that's probably not a good thing. I just kinda want the next couple of days over with so I can relax. Think that'll happen? lol

I can't believe how long we've known each other, and how quickly we became friends. We've been through a lot over the years and I'm so so glad that we've kept in touch, even if it can be a bit infrequently. That's something I'm going to try hard to remedy in our future, so be prepared!

I hope you all had a great time celebrating the new year. Things were pretty uneventful here. We watched the ball drop on television and then I went to bed not long afterward. I was planning on getting some packing done today but that didn't happen. So much to do and so little time...ugh!

It'll all be good though.

First of all, I have to say this...

Much much love and hugs to everyone who's ill or has been met with tragedy lately. I love you all and if there's anything at all I can do, please please let me know.

And I guess while I'm here, I should update about what's been going on over here:

We're allowed voluntary overtime at work so I've been spending a lot of time there lately. I figure if I can get between 4.5-5 hours a week, it'll help make up for the Christmas presents and baking supplies I've been buying lately. My annual review is coming up on the 27th and I'm a bit annoyed because that's a reschedule of the one I was supposed to have tomorrow. I really wanted it to be done tomorrow, these things make me borderline ill. But oh well. I'll deal with it. I know I'm not doing too badly or they would have said something already. :)

I swear this house is going to smell like cookies for the rest of the year at the rate I'm going. I don't even want to admit to how many I've made but I'll just say it's a lot and leave it at that. But considering I'm making them for every member of my team (15 total) and then for Christmas day and stuff...it makes sense that there's a lot! I even made a batch just for Kel today just because I felt like it. And needed something relatively easy.

I'm also knitting. Lots of babies coming at my work and I wanted to do something nice...we'll see if I get this blanket done before the first little one is born!

I got to talk to u_rawk tonight.
